Children’s Tours for Groups

Our spring 2024 children's tours calendar is at capacity. Currently, we are only accepting children's tour requests for summer and fall. Thank you.

Discover the treasures of Wing Haven Garden & Bird Sanctuary with an overview of the garden as a bird habitat; experience includes a short story, overview of its history, private garden stroll, and pink lemonade! Children each bring home a bag of Wing Haven birdseed. All groups are invited to stay and picnic and to explore the SEED Wildlife & Children’s Garden on their own, following the 60-minute tour experience.

Details

Offered to school groups, homeschoolers, Scout groups, faith-based groups, camps, etc.
A minimum of five (5) children required for a guided tour.
Offered to children in preschool through 12th grade
Tours are available Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Date/time will be confirmed once inquiry or payment made.
Tours are 60 minutes in duration with the last tour beginning at 3:30 p.m. We can alter the tour to meet your needs.
All groups have the option to extend their visit beyond the tour to explore the SEED Wildlife & Children’s Garden on their own, and/or enjoy a picnic lunch or snack.
The cost is $5/child; adult chaperones are free (12:1 ratio); additional adult chaperones are $10/adult.
Please reserve at least two (2) weeks in advance.

Cancellation & Refund Policy: Tour registrant may cancel up to 48 hours prior to the tour date by calling 704.331.0664 to receive a full refund. Should Wing Haven need to cancel a tour due to inclement weather determined by garden staff and for the safety of our guests we will work with you to reschedule your tour or a full refund will be available.
