Birds are everywhere, but often we can’t see them. Learning to identify bird songs and calls is an important skill that will help you find and enjoy more birds in your yard and neighborhood.
Did you know some birds can only be identified by their call? During this presentation, you will learn how and why birds communicate through their songs and calls. We’ll start small by concentrating on our resident birds and some common wintering visitors. If you become familiar with them, it will be easier to learn the more difficult songs that will arrive in the spring. We will also discuss how to use the Merlin app as a tool to assist with learning.
