Did you know that you might have as many as six different species of raptors in your neighborhood? And nineteen species can be seen in Mecklenburg County? One of the few top predators in the area, raptors help maintain a delicate but healthy balance in our urban landscape.

Ron Clark, long time volunteer at the Carolina Raptor Center and field trip leader extraordinaire for Mecklenburg Audubon Society will explain how to identify the most common species in our area and discuss the unique characteristics of their natural history.
